The programme of our arts work is developed by requests from the community, schools, community centres, youth organisations, through liaising with cultural minority organisations, women's groups and disabled people's organisations, discussions with other agencies, perceived needs within the community, discus¬sions within management and team, and, as follow-on work, in consultation with the groups themselves. A balance of all these elements is maintained through regular discussions with the groups, at project meetings and with management.
Occasionally large scale projects (such as galas, fire shows, community plays and festivals) are worked on with entire communities
Third Piper utilises artists and crafts people from Derbyshire to deliver workshops and sessions in any creative activity. The usual format is that the host organisation provides the participants, funding, and, if possible, venue. Third Piper provides the arts worker/s and the materials.
At present our main session worker is Angela Cammidge offering the following: SHORT COURSES Mosaics, Beadwork, Papercraft, Glass Painting & Jewellery. Please note that Jewellery requires suitable workshop conditions
TASTER SESSIONS Card Making, Paper crafts, Beadwork, Seasonal Gift Making & Jewellery.
FAMILY SESSIONS Mask Making, Seasonal Crafts, Paper Crafts & Cards, Puppets.
